How is eternal life lived now? I finally get to answer that question (begun last week) by spinning off 7 (count'em) basics and then looking at the connected ideas between Isaiah 58 and Matthew 25.

Yes, seven points get us started. Any one of them would be worthy of a sermon alone, taking us us from the Garden of Eden to the ending vision of Revelation in minutes.

In Isaiah 58, the prophet reveals God's mocking tone is hearing the complaints of God's people who don't know why God isn't happy with their prayers, devotions, and fasting. God calls for true worship, namely an end to injustice and caring for the poor. Is that worship? Then God promises their light will rise in the darkness.

Jesus says much the same in the separation of the sheep and the goats in a closing vision shared with the disciples in Matthew 25. Those who showed care and compassion for the weak, poor, vulnerable, and outcast were in fact ministering to Jesus himself.

Jesus revealed the Kingdom life to those whom he encountered. How does Kingdom life equate to eternal life? Find out how this works in the sermon video below, and note the downloads below the video panel.
